  • 4 hot dogs
  • 4 strips bacon
  • Diced Onions
  • Slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 hot dog buns


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Wrap each bacon slice around a hot dog. The bacon can be secured by using toothpicks.
  3. Spray a broiler or roasting rack with cooking spray or lightly grease with a little oil. Place the wrapped hot dogs on the rack over a baking sheet. Place in the preheated oven for 10 – 12 minutes or until bacon is done to your likeness. Remove the toothpicks.
  4. Meanwhile, while the hot dogs are in the oven, slice the hot dogs buns in the center but not right through.
  5. Place the cheese on the bottom of each bun, followed by the diced onions.
  6. Place the buns in the oven, just before the hot dogs are finished, to heat for 5 minutes or just until the cheese starts to melt.
  7. Remove the buns from the oven and place the hot dogs in the bun. Top with ketchup and mustard if desired. Serve immediately
