BAKED TILAPIA FISH FILLETS

Ingredients:

  • 6 tilapia fillets
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp pepper sauce
  • 2 tbsp fresh minced green seasoning
  • (chives,thyme,shadon beni)
  • 4 cloves garlic, grated
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • Cooking spray

Directions:

  1. Wash fish and pat dry. Season with lime juice, salt, pepper, pepper sauce, garlic and green seasoning. Leave to marinate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  3. Spray a baking dish lightly with cooking spray.
  4. In 3 separate bowls, place breadcrumbs, egg (slightly beaten) and flour.
  5. Dip each fish fillet first into the flour, then egg and then breadcrumbs. Ensure the fillets are covered completely with each coating. Place in the baking dish.
  6. Bake uncovered for 20 – 25 minutes until fish flake easily and is golden brown.
  7. Remove and serve.
