- 2 ½ cups powdered milk, preferably full cream
- ¾ cup heavy cream or evaporated milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp minced fresh ginger
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- Colorful candy sprinkles
Mix milk powder and cream together just until combined. Let sit for a few minutes. Mix until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. This will take a little while.
Bring the sugar, water, ginger and cardamom to a boil. Let boil until the mixture has thickened a bit.
Stir the milk mixture into the sugar mixture and keep stirring until everything comes together, leaving the sides of the pot. Make sure the texture is not too soft and not too crumbly.
Spread the mixture evenly into a greased square dish, ensuring the top is smooth.
Sprinkle with the candy sprinkles. Cut into squares before completely cool.
