  • 2 cups boiled breadfruit
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 13 oz evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of spice
  • ¾ cup water
  • ¾ cup sugar


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Mix together ¾ cups water and sugar and cook together on a stovetop or microwave until mixture is caramalised. Pour caramel into the flan dish.

  3. In a food processor, blend together breadfruit, cream cheese, and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, mix after each addtion. Add the evaporated milk, vanilla and spice. Mix until well blended.

  4. Pour into the dish over the caramel. Place the dish in a water bath and place in oven for apporoximately 1½ hours. Remove and let cool. Place in refrigerator to chill before serving (preferably overnight).
