- 2 ½ cups flour
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 cup grated dry coconut
- 2 tbsp shortening
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 pack instant yeast
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
Thaw butter and shortening until softened.
Combine flour, butter, shortening, yeast, baking powder and salt.
Add the remaining ingredients. Knead for about 10 minutes forming a smooth ball of dough. Let stand for about 30 minutes or until dough has risen.
Knead dough again and let stand for about 15 minutes for dough to rise again.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Flatten dough into approximately a 9-inch round and place on a greased baking sheet.
Bake in oven for approximately 30 minutes or until the bake is golden brown.
