DASHEEN FISH CAKES

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb dasheen, peeled, boiled and crushed
  • 1 lb seasoned king fish, steamed, deboned and flaked
  • 1 tsp pepper sauce
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg (optional)
  • 2 tbsp oil

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together.

  2. Spread mixture evenly onto a baking sheet approximately ½ inch thick.

  3. Cut out cakes with a small round cookie cutter.

  4. Pan fry in a little oil on both sides until golden brown.

  5. Serve with tartar sauce or any preferred sauce.
