- 2 -3 lbs fresh white medium button mushrooms
- 2 beaten eggs
- 2 cups breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp all purpose seasoning
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp chopped fresh parsley
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- Oil for frying
Remove stems from mushrooms and clean with a paper napkin.
Place eggs in a shallow bowl. Add red pepper flakes and parsley to eggs.
Place the breadcrumbs in another bowl. Mix in all purpose seasoning, salt and pepper.
Place enough oil in a medium saucepan to cover at least 1 inch in height in pan. Heat oil over medium high heat.
Dip the whole mushroom caps in the egg mixture and then the breadcrumbs.
Place the mushrooms in the hot oil and fry for 3 – 5 minutes until golden brown.
