Complexity: Easy


  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 – 2 large knobs fresh ginger, peeled
  • or 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • ½ cup icing sugar
  • 2 medium sized bananas (sliced on the length)


  1. Place the heavy cream in a bowl.


  2. If using fresh ginger, grate the fresh ginger and squeeze the juice from the pulp into the cream. If using the ground ginger, add to the cream.


  3. Beat the cream with a hand mixer just until it begins to thicken. Add the icing sugar and beat just until mixed. Taste and add a little more ginger juice if necessary. Be careful not to overbeat. Use as desired.
