Complexity: Easy


  • 4 ciabatta rolls or favourite sandwich rolls split in half
  • Slices of ham
  • Tomato slices
  • Thin onion slices, red onion if possible
  • Cheddar or swiss cheese slices or a combination
  • Mayonnaise
  • Mustard, regular or spicy brown
  • Pepper Sauce
  • Cooking Spray


  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. Spread mayonnaise on each sandwich half, top and bottom.
  3. On the bottom half, layer ham slices, then onion, cheese and tomato. Add the mustard and pepper sauce if using. Based on the size of your bread you can do two layers
  4. Cover with the top half and place on baking sheet. Place in preheated oven. Bake for 5 – 10 minutes or just until the cheese melts.
  5. Remove, cut in half and serve.
