HONEY BARBECUE PORK CHOPS

Complexity:  Easy

Ingredients:

  • 6-8 1-inch thick pork chops
  • ½ cup of honey
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp white wine
  • 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 4-5 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1-tsp chili powder
  • 1 dash cinnamon
  • ¼ cup mustard

Directions:

  1. In a large freezer bag – Pour honey, ketchup, orange juice, vinegar, white wine, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, onion, oregano, chili powder, cinnamon and mustard. Mix well. Remove some of the marinade for basting.
  2. Add pork chops to bag and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degreesF. Place pork chops in a greased baking dish. Cover and bake for half hour – 45 minutes. Remove cover and continue to bake for a further 15 minutes basting with the remaining marinade.
