The East

With eager anticipation, we set out early and according to Soca Star Bunji Garlin ‘the sun now waking up’ as we gathered at our first meeting point in the EAST vs WEST Doubles Challenge.

This innovative event was thought out by 2 doubles aficionados, acclaimed photographers and foodies David Wears and Nigel Tyrell P. Reid.

Nigel selected his 5 personal favorites from the East while David has selected his 5 from the West.

The selected judges were Joel Villafana of TriniCooks, Q.D. Ross of Eat Ah Food, Photographer Peter Lim Choy, Lounge DJ, Cheyenne Baptiste and Marie of TriniChow.

Nigel’s choices in the East.

By this time the judges’ stomachs were full so the fifth selection was abandoned.

Our personal favourite of the day was definitely Mohammed’s Doubles at O’meara Road off the highway. For the official judges results visit the event page here.
