Let’s go Bananas In Trinidad and Tobago, there are many varieties of bananas known as silk fig, governor fig and moko. Bananas can also be used in their un-ripened state simply known as green fig, right to the other end of ripeness known as plantains. Bananas are also known for being a great source of potassium. This simple, creamy fruit has a distinctive flavor when incorporated with other ingredients and even stand on its own as the star in many dishes.
