  • 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • ½ cup sliced onions
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped celery
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp all purpose seasoning
  • 4 oz butter or margarine
  • 3 oz flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Melt butter or margarine in saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the onions and cook for a minute. Add the mushrooms and continue to cook for approximately 5 more minutes.
  3. Add the flour and stir. The mixture will come together like a paste. Add the milk and stir continuously until the mixture begins to thicken.
  4. Add the celery, parsley and all purpose seasoning.
  5. Taste and adjust with salt and pepper. A little more milk may be added if the sauce is too thick. Serve warm.
