- 2 ½ cups sifted all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 ½ tsp baking powder
- ¾ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- ¾ cup chopped nuts (of your choice)
- 1 tbsp grated orange peel
- 1 egg, beaten
- ¾ cup orange juice
- 2 ½ tbsp oil
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Sift dry ingredients into a bowl. Add the nuts and orange peel and combine.
Mix the egg, orange juice and oil together. Add to the dry ingredients. Stir until the ingredients are just moistened.
Pour into a greased loaf pan.
Bake in preheated oven for approximately 45 – 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and turn loaf onto a wire rack to cool.
