ORANGE NUT BREAD

Complexity: Easy

Ingredients:

  • 2 ½ cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ¾ cup chopped nuts (of your choice)
  • 1 tbsp grated orange peel
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ¾ cup orange juice
  • 2 ½ tbsp oil

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Sift dry ingredients into a bowl. Add the nuts and orange peel and combine.
  3. Mix the egg, orange juice and oil together. Add to the dry ingredients. Stir until the ingredients are just moistened.
  4. Pour into a greased loaf pan.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for approximately 45 – 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
  6. Remove from the oven and turn loaf onto a wire rack to cool.
