PASTA SALAD ITALIAN STYLE

Complexity: Medium

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of elbow pasta
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup Italian salad dressing
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp of grated onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • 1 cup of chopped tomatoes
  • ½ cup finely chopped bell pepper
  • ½ cup corn
  • 1 cup carrot grated

Directions:

  1. Cook pasta in a pot of salted water for 10 to 12 minutes. Rinse in cold water and drain.
  2. In a large bowl whisk together mayonnaise, Italian dressing, sour cream, salt, pepper, onion, garlic and basil until properly blended.
  3. Add cooked pasta, tomatoes, bell pepper, corn and shredded carrot. Fold gently until thoroughly mixed.
  4. Cover and chill for several hours before serving.
