  • 4 bread rolls
  • 12 slices bacon, cut in half
  • 1 small sweet pepper, cut in thin strips
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • Mayonnaise
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard
  • Pepper sauce (optional)
  • Cheese (optional)


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Cook bacon to desired crispness in a frying pan. Remove and set aside. In the hot fat rendered from the bacon, add the sweet pepper and the onion. Cook until tender. Remove from pan.

  3. While the sweet peppers and onions are cooking, place the bread in the oven for 5 minutes. Remove and cut in half.

  4. Spread the bottom halves of the bread with mayonnaise. Place the bacon, then the peppers and onions, then cheese if using. Add a little ketchup and mustard and pepper sauce if using.

  5. Cover with the other half and enjoy.
