- 2 tbsp spicy brown mustard
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
Directions
-
Prepare the pastry for use according to package directions.

Mix together the pesto and mustard.

Lay out one sheet of the pastry on a floured board. Roll out a little with a rolling pin. Brush evenly with a layer of the pesto mixture.

Lightly grease and flour a baking sheet or lightly spray with cooking spray. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
-
Cut the pastry in half vertically and then horizontally. You should have 4 rectangular pieces of pastry.
-
Place a sausage on one piece of pastry at one end and roll to the other end, enclosing the sausage in the pastry. Dab a little water on the edge so that the pastry will be sealed.
-
Cut the large roll into an even 4 pieces and place on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining pastry. Brush the rolls with a little beaten egg.
-
Bake in preheated oven for 20 – 25 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown. Remove from the oven and place on a cooling rack for about 5 minutes before serving.
