TURKEY AND PEPPER MELTS

Complexity: Easy

Ingredients:

  • 12 slices turkey breast
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • ½ large sweet pepper, sliced thinly
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 12 slices cheddar cheese
  • Mayonnaise
  • Mustard
  • 4 hamburger buns split in half

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Heat oil in frying pan. Add the peppers and onions. Cook until tender. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Spread mayonnaise on bottom half of buns. Top each half with 3 slices of turkey followed by onion and pepper mixture and then cheese. Add a little mustard and top with the remaining half of bread.
  4. Place in oven for approximately 5 minutes or until the cheese starts to melt.
  5. Remove and serve immediately.
